Powerful Q-switched Nd:YAG for Tattoo Removal and Pigmented Lesions
The Astanza Duality Q-switched Nd:YAG laser machine is a true workhorse of a tattoo removal laser for aesthetic practitioners who demand high performance, long-lasting reliability, and impressive results.
With an ultra-short pulse duration (6000 picoseconds), high peak power, and essential wavelengths for versatility on colors, the Duality laser tattoo removal machines removes tattoos faster with better results.
The Q-switched Nd:YAG tattoo removal laser gives practitioners the power and reliability to perform quick, effective, and profitable procedures with confidence. This tattoo removal laser houses two wavelengths: 1064 nm and 532 nm, providing the ability to perform tattoo removal and benign pigmented lesion removal. The Duality is versatile, powerful, and competitively priced.
Applications:
- Tattoo Removal
- Benign Pigmented Lesions

Versatile for Ink Colors
The Q-switched Duality laser treatment machine produces energy in the most trusted wavelengths for tattoo removal: 1064 nm and 532 nm. With this combination, this laser can treat a wide range of tattoo ink colors — black, brown, red, orange, and yellow. The Q-switched laser provides the essential wavelengths to completely remove ink in nearly all tattoos – and therefore is an effective laser for any laser tattoo removal practice.
Some other Nd:YAG lasers promise additional wavelengths for treating rare tattoo shades through handpiece dye kits, yet these “add-on” wavelengths are ineffective due to extremely low energy production (often only 1/6 the power). Don’t be fooled by handpiece wavelength gimmicks – they are never powerful enough to completely remove tattoos.
If treatment of rare, resistant colors (such as bright blue or green) is important to your practice, browse one of our other machines like the Astanza Trinity laser for more information.

Fast Treatment Times & Improved Safety
The Duality’s unique square-spot beam shape gives practitioners the ability to avoid overlap of laser pulses on the skin. Pulses can be perfectly aligned in a grid pattern, allowing pulses to be adjacent instead of overlapping.
Reducing pulse overlap is desirable for two reasons:
- More efficient – faster and easier for practitioners
- Eliminates overtreatment – safer for patients
When the skin is treated by two pulses consecutively (from pulse overlap), there is unevenness in energy application across the tattoo and a greater risk of epidermal injury. For patients with sensitive skin, over treatment of their tattoo can result in more severe side effects and damage to skin tissue. The square spot profile of this device minimizes the risk of pigmentation changes for patients with darker skin tones.
Designed for Busy Practices
Many experienced tattoo removal practitioners are familiar with devices that take 5 to 20 minutes to “warm up” after being turned on. In contrast, the Duality laser machine is ready for use in less than 45 seconds after it is plugged in. Once turned on, the Duality laser can swiftly transition from “Standby” to “Ready” mode in mere seconds.
The Duality’s high maximum repetition rate of 10 pulses per second also contributes to fast, easy treatments. With its high repetition rate, the pulses are releases more frequently, allowing for faster coverage of the treatment area, more efficient procedures, and minimized pain for patients.
