The Astanza Before and After Photo Contest rewards Astanza clients for the best before and after pictures for aesthetic treatments obtained in their individual aesthetic, medical spa, physician, tattoo shop, or laser tattoo removal practice. These pictures are judged in terms of the overall removal results.
The contest is held annually from January 1st to December 31st, organized into three categories, and judged by Astanza Laser’s team of experts. Up to three winners will be awarded every year, one for each of our three contest categories.
By entering the Astanza Before and After Photo Contest and submitting your photo(s), you understand and agree that Astanza Laser has the right to use the submitted photos for any marketing purpose, print, publish, broadcast, distribution for other clients, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World.
That being said, You are granted the right to include a business watermark on your photo entries. Astanza Laser agrees to cite You and/or Your Business whenever your photos are used. For example, the lightening before and after picture shown above gives credit to 1 Point Tattoo in the top corner.

Complete tattoo removal photo entries must show a comparison of a tattoo prior to treatment and complete removal of the tattoo after treatment. Entries with faded tattoos only will not be entered into the contest – tattoos must be completely removed in order to qualify.
Lightening/Cover-up tattoo removal photo entries must showcase the lightening process (a tattoo prior to treatment vs. the tattoo lightened after a few sessions) AND the new cover-up tattoo after sufficient lightening. Entries with faded tattoos only will not qualify to win – they must have an accompanying cover-up photo.
Aesthetic before & after photo entries include results for pigmented lesion removal, vascular lesion removal, skin resurfacing, photofacials, permanent makeup removal, and acne reduction. Photo entries for this category must show a comparison of the skin prior to treatment and complete removal or significant improvement after treatment.

The Astanza Before and After Photo Contest begins on January 1st every year. Up to three winners are chosen annually (at the end of December). Photo entries will be accepted online starting January 1st and ending at 11:59 pm CST on December 31st. By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest and states that he or she is an Astanza Laser client.
The Astanza Before and After Photo Contest is only open to Astanza Laser clients that own or operate an Astanza Laser product. Individuals affiliated with Astanza Laser, including employees, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively the “Employees”), and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of Employees are not eligible to participate in the contest.
By participating, the Contestant (“You”) agrees to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of Astanza Laser as final and binding as it relates to the content of the Astanza Before and After Photo Contest.
The Astanza Before and After Photo Contest must be entered by submitting an entry using the online form provided below. You may submit up to 15 photographs per category for a total of 30 submissions. All photographs submitted must be in .jpeg, .jpg, or .png formate, at least 1,000 pixels wide and no larger than 10 MB. You must complete a separate form for each photo submitted.
We do not accept photographs submitted through the mail and do not accept more than one contestant per e-mail address. High-quality scans of non-digital photographs are acceptable. Digital photographs should be taken at the highest resolution possible.
Finalists may be asked to submit an original, unedited digital file or an original negative, print or slide. Original negatives, prints or slides will be returned to finalists. The Smithsonian Institution reserves the right to disqualify incomplete entries and/or contestants who are unable to submit, upon request, a high-resolution photograph of at least 300 dpi at 3,000 pixels on the longest side or an original photo negative, print or slide. Mobile photographs are exempt from this size requirement but must be submitted at their highest resolution upon request.
Pictures must not show the name of the photographer, agency, or publication, or any other information (these details can be included in the metadata of the pictures but must not be visible on the picture itself).
The entry must fulfill all contest requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Astanza Laser. You may enter only once. You must provide the information requested. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. If You use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules, your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of Astanza Laser.
The Winner(s) of the Astanza Laser Before and After Photo Contest (the “Winner”) will receive one prize of their choice from the prizes listed below. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at Astanza Laser’s discretion. The prize is nontransferable. No substitution of the prize or transfer/assignment of the prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Astanza Laser to use Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Up to three winners will be selected by community vote annually at the end of December under the supervision of Astanza Laser. One for the best complete before and after laser tattoo removal result, one for the best lightening and cover-up before and after laser tattoo removal result, and another for the best aesthetic treatment before and after result.
Winners will be notified by email and/or telephone within ten (10) days following selection of Winners. Astanza Laser shall have no liability for Winners’ failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If Winners cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 3-5 days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and release as required, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winners selected. Receipt by Winners of the prize offered in this contest is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY WINNER (AT ASTANZA LASER‘S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE CONTEST, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

Astanza Laser reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Astanza Laser’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the contest. In such case, Astanza Laser may select the Winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Astanza Laser. Astanza Laser reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the contest or website or violates these Terms & Conditions. Astanza Laser has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the contest, to void votes for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by contest rules; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws.
